Sea People

The Sea Peoples is the name historians traditionally use to refer to a people or group of peoples responsible for widespread attacks on Mediterranean civilizations in around 1200 B.C. The name itself can be found as early as the works of the Greek historian Herodotus; however, little is known about the Sea Peoples themselves, although one theory (without much supporting evidence) is that they may have been related to the Phoenicians.
