Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 746 people, 200 households, and 168 families residing in the town. The population density is 4.2/km² (10.9/mi²). There are 215 housing units at an average density of 1.2/km² (3.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 32.98% White, 0.27% African American, 37.00% Native American, 0.27% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 23.73% from other races, and 5.63% from two or more races. 27.48% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 200 households out of which 41.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.0% are married couples living together, 10.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.0% are non-families. 12.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.52 and the average family size is 3.79.
