Sarah Blaffer Hrdy (note:
Hrdy is Czech for "proud") is a
U.S. anthropologist who has made several major contributions to
evolutionary psychology and
sociobiology.
She has written a number of books, both academic and popular, including:
- The Woman that Never Evolved (1981)
- Infanticide: Comparative and Evolutionary Perspectives (1984)

Hrdy has joked that her husband married her to "buy her a vowel".
