Saltaire is a village located in Suffolk County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 43.

Geography Saltaire is located at 40°38'15" North, 73°11'48" West (40.637520, -73.196566)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 15.15% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 43 people, 14 households, and 9 families residing in the village. The population density is 59.3/km² (155.0/mi²). There are 401 housing units at an average density of 553.0/km² (1,445.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 79.07% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 9.30% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 11.63% from two or more races. 2.33% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 14 households out of which 35.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% are married couples living together, 0.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.6% are non-families. 14.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.07 and the average family size is 3.50.

In the village the population is spread out with 37.2% under the age of 18, 0.0% from 18 to 24, 25.6% from 25 to 44, 16.3% from 45 to 64, and 20.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 152.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 107.7 males.
