Saintes Maries de la Mer is a city in the south of France, main city of the Camargue, in the Bouches-du-Rhône département, by the Mediterranean Sea. Population: 2,230 (50,000+ during the summer holidays).

Gypsies are gathering yearly in the city for a religious festival.
