Saint Ambrose University

St. Ambrose is a private, coeducational, liberal arts university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Davenport. It is located in the residential area of Davenport, Iowa.

Enrollment (as of Fall 2000)

  • Total: 3011 / 2114 undergraduate, 897 graduate
  • Minority students make up more than 6 percent of student population
  • Student-faculty ratio is approximately 15 to 1

Faculty and Staff

  • Faculty: 131 full-time, (85 percent of whom hold the highest degree offered in their field); 98 part-time
  • Staff: 214 full-time, 35 part-time

Accreditation St. Ambrose University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools of the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. In its review of 1998, the Association recommended a 10-year approval for St. Ambrose.
