The Revolution of 1905 was a mass protest and civil unrest in Russia.

The revolution began when troops opened fire on a group of workers on their way to petition Czar Nicholas II on January 22, 1905. The day is known as "Bloody Sunday". After this event there were a series of riots, assassinations, and more, in the months following. When order was restored, the czar put the Fundamental Laws[?] into action.
