Runabout

A runabout is a class of starship in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Larger than shuttlecraft, runabouts are suitable for medium to long range exploration, although their capacity is still somewhat limited compared to most other spacecraft in Star Trek. Runabouts are named after Earth rivers such as Rio Grande and Ganges.
