In Hindu philosophy, rta is the energy that flows through all organisms and inanimate objecs. Rta causes the sun to rise and set, rivers to flow and the growth of all organisms. Rta is also morality; a moral man will always attempt to uphold rta. It can be seen as similar to mana.

Rta is associated with Varuna.
