Royal Oak, Meavy, Devon

The Royal Oak is a 15th century thatched pub in the village of Meavy[?], on the fringes of Dartmoor. It is notable for being owned by the parish, and the profits are redistributed amongst the villagers. Much of the seating consists of pews formerly situated in the nearby church.

Immediately in front of the pub is the Meavy Oak[?], an oak tree which predates the pub by several hundred years.
