Rosa is a town located in Blount County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 313.

Geography Rosa is located at 33°59'23.316" North, 86°30'42.977" West (33.989810, -86.511938).

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 9.8 km² (3.8 mi²). 9.8 km² (3.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.26% is water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 313 people, 125 households, and 93 families residing in the town. The population density is 32.0/km² (82.9/mi²). There are 136 housing units at an average density of 13.9/km² (36.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 99.68% White, 0.00% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.64% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 125 households out of which 39.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% are married couples living together, 5.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% are non-families. 24.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.50 and the average family size is 2.99.

In the town the population is spread out with 27.8% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 28.8% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 107.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.8 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $40,000, and the median income for a family is $56,563. Males have a median income of $31,250 versus $30,625 for females. The per capita income for the town is $17,042. 7.5% of the population and 6.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 14.5% are under the age of 18 and 3.4% are 65 or older.
