Roger the Dodger

Roger the Dodger was a character in a strip cartoon of the same name which appeared in the comic-book, the Beano. Roger's basic remit was to avoid doing chores such as homework, and this would involve him inevitably in complex and ultimately disastrous plans, the undoing of which would result in him being punished (usually by his long-suffering father).

His worst enemy is Cruncher Kerr (whose name could be based on the Beano editor Euan Kerr). He has a pet called Dodge Cat. He used to have a pet called Joe the Crow, who obviously was a crow.
