Rockhampton

Rockhampton (pop. approx 67,000) is an inland city bisected by the Fitzroy river located in the central Queensland region of Australia. It is a service centre for the region's main products; coal and beef. Indeed, Rockhampton claims the title of the "Australia's Beef Capital". The future of the nearby magnesium processing/manufacturing (AMC) plant at Stanwell is in doubt.

It has a number of notable historic buildings such as the (disused) Customs House in Quay Street and the (disused) Post Office in East Street.
