Robert Livingston the Younger

Robert Livingston the Younger (1663 - April 1725), son of James Livingston, and nephew of Robert Livingston the Elder. He emigrated to America in 1687 and married Margareta Schuyler, the daughter of the mayor of Albany in 1697. He managed his uncle's Albany enterprises, becoming, serially, city clerk, county clerk alderman and deputy mayor, while simultaneoulsy becoming a prominent merchant. He served as mayor of Albany from 1710-1719.
