Rind

In Norse mythology, the giantess Rind was the mother of Vali by Odin (though she was unwilling to lay with him at first). She was a daughter of Billing.

In botany, a rind is the thick outer skin of various structures such as fruit. The term can refer to skins of other things such as cheese.
