Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson (born April 3, 1949) is a musician and was a member of Fairport Convention, 'the English Jefferson Airplane' and later pioneers of British Folk Rock, from formation in 1967. Went solo in 1971 then as a duo with wife Linda. Notable albums as a duo - 'I Want To see The Bright Lights Tonight' and 'Shoot Out The Lights' The couple divorced in 1982. Richard continues to make critically acclaimed albums but has somehow avoided mainstream success.
