Response

A response is the result of a stimulus.

In telecommunication, the term response has the following meanings:

1. A reply to a query.

2. In data transmission, the content of the control field[?] of a response frame[?] advising the primary station concerning the processing by the secondary station of one or more command frames.

3. The effect of an active or passive device[?] upon an input signal.
