Randall County is a county located in the U.S. State of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 104,312. Its county seat is Canyon6.

Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,389 km² (922 mi²). 2,368 km² (914 mi²) of it is land and 21 km² (8 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.87% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 104,312 people, 41,240 households, and 28,785 families residing in the county. The population density is 44/km² (114/mi²). There are 43,261 housing units at an average density of 18/km² (47/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 90.44% White, 1.50% African American, 0.65% Native American, 1.03% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 4.71% from other races, and 1.64% from two or more races. 10.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 41,240 households out of which 33.90% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.50% are married couples living together, 9.20% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.20% are non-families. 25.40% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.50% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.49 and the average family size is 3.00.

In the county, the population is spread out with 26.10% under the age of 18, 11.20% from 18 to 24, 28.40% from 25 to 44, 22.40% from 45 to 64, and 11.90% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 94.70 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.20 males.

The median income for a household in the county is $42,712, and the median income for a family is $52,420. Males have a median income of $36,333 versus $25,358 for females. The per capita income for the county is $21,840. 8.10% of the population and 5.70% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 8.50% are under the age of 18 and 6.60% are 65 or older.
