Most important of the tracks on Raising Hell is the collaboration with Aerosmith, "Walk This Way[?]". While the song was not the first fusion of rock and hip hop, it was the first to do so and sell well. Run-D.M.C.'s degree of penetration into mainstream markets was unprecedented for a hip hop act previously.
Raising Hell peaked at #1 on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop Album chart, and at #6 on the Billboard 200.
