Rainbow Islands

Rainbow Islands is a platform game from Taito. It is a sequel to Bubble Bobble. The game has seven worlds, and 4 rounds per world. In each world, there are seven coloured diamonds to collect.

Your weapon is the ability to fire rainbows. These can either be fired straight at the enemy, or fired above them and broken. The latter is much more likely to give you a power up.

As you ascend the islands to "Goal In" at the top, a time limit is provided by the rising waters. Balancing the need to collect jewels with the need to keep moving provides challenge to anyone wishing to fully complete the game.
