Q (James Bond)

Q, played by Desmond Llewelyn, is a character in the James Bond movies. He is the head of a branch of the British Secret Service that makes spycraft devices ranging from pens with built-in radios to cars with built-in submarines. The last Bond film to feature Q was The World Is Not Enough, due to Llewelyn's death in 1999. In subsequent Bond films, Q's successor has been played by John Cleese.
