Project studio

A project studio is a small, relatively inexpensive recording studio, generally built for non-commercial projects. The first modern project studios came into being during the late 1960s and 70s, with the advent of affordable multitrack recorders, synthesizers and microphones. The phenomenon has flourished with falling prices, MIDI equipment, and inexpensive digital hard-disk recording solutions.
