Project Jennifer

"Jennifer" was the code name for the deep-ocean salvage operation conducted the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to retrieve the sunken Soviet submarine K-129 from the floor of the Pacific Ocean in 1968. The United States Navy detected the submarine's destruction as it occurred, and the location of the wreckage was pinpointed by USS Halibut (SSN-587)[?].
