Prithivi mata

In Hinduism, Prithivi Mata ("Mother Earth") is a goddess representing the essence of the element earth.

According to one tradition, she is the personification of the Earth, and to another its mother, but the word "Mata" suggests that she is the Earth's mother, being Prithivi Tattwa the essence of the element earth. In art she is represented as a woman with four arms and a green skin.

Other name: Prithwi Mata.
