Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester

HRH The Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, formerly Lady Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott (born December 25, 1901), was HRH The Duchess of Gloucester upon her marriage to HRH Prince Henry, The Duke of Gloucester in 1935.

The Duke of Duchess of Gloucester travelled extensively to perform their royal duties. In 1972, their first son Prince William[?] was killed in an air crash. In 1974, Prince Henry passed away and was succeeded as Duke of Gloucester by their second son Prince Richard. In 1981 Princess Alice published her memoirs.

Princess Alice turned 101 on Christmas Day 2002. Since the death of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother she is the oldest member of the British Royal Family.
