Pratt and Whitney

Pratt & Whitney is an American manufacturer of aircraft engines, the largest in its branch. The engines built are both in use by civilian and military aircraft.

The company was founded in 1925 by Frederick Rentschler[?], and has its headquarters in Hartford.
