Paralipsis

A paralipsis or praeteritio is a rhetorical figure or figure of speech, where emphasis is achieved by passing something by. Typically, a paralipsis is introduced by phrases such as "we need say nothing of" or "not to mention".

  • "I'm not going to grace that comment with a response"
