Post-Impressionism

Post-Impressionism is a term applied to a number of painters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries whose style developed out of or reacted against that of the immpressionists. It was first used by the critic Roger Fry, and is applied to the group Les Nabis and other artists such as:

• Paul Cezanne
• Paul Gauguin
• Georges Seurat
• Vincent Van Gogh
