Porto Torres

Porto Porres (loc. Poltu Torra in sassarese[?]), a town of est. 20,000 inh. (province of Sassari) in northern Sardinia, (Italy). Archeological area. Ruins of the roman thermal complex. Romanic cathedral of San Gavino.

Port connected with Genoa and Marseille. Expressway (SS131/E25) to Sassari and Cagliari. National road to Santa Teresa Gallura (SS200).
