Geography Port Washington is located at 40°19'39" North, 81°31'12" West (40.327467, -81.520096)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 552 people, 204 households, and 161 families residing in the village. The population density is 417.9/km² (1,091.2/mi²). There are 213 housing units at an average density of 161.3/km² (421.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.83% White, 0.18% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.54% from other races, and 1.45% from two or more races. 1.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 204 households out of which 35.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% are married couples living together, 9.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.6% are non-families. 16.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
