Porsche 356

The 356 was the original Porsche automobile, created by Ferry Porsche[?] using parts and knowledge from the Volkswagen factory. It was available both with and without roof (coupé and roadster[?]).

The car bears a close resemblance to the Volkswagen, including an air-cooled, rear-mounted engine.

The 356 was introduced in the 1948 and was replaced by the Porsche 911 and the Porsche 912 in 1963.
