Plank

A plank is a flat piece of timber, sawn and planed; it is technically distinguished from a board[?] by its greater thickness, and should measure from 2 to 4 inches (5.08 to 10.16 cm) in thickness and from 10 to 11 inches (25.4 to 27.94 cm) in width.
