Placencia

Placencia is a peninsula on the Caribbean Sea coast of the Stann Creek District of Belize. Starting in the late 20th century it became a tourism destination. The largest community on the peninsula is the Village of Placencia, with a population of 458 permenant residents in the 2000 census.
