Pickering, Ontario

Pickering (2001 population 87,139) is a city located east of Toronto in Durham Region, Ontario, Canada.

The local economy is dominated by the Pickering nuclear power plant. Several other manufacturing and high-tech firms are located in the town. It borders on Toronto and economically part of the "Greater Toronto Area" (GTA).
