Phoenix TV

Phoenix TV(凤凰卫视) is a Chinese TV station based in Hong Kong. Though it is a public company, it has a close relationship the government of the People's Republic of China. Phoenix TV now has several different channels: Mandarin Channel, News Channel, Movie Channel, America Channel and Europe Channel. It is also one of the few channels that are allowed to be viewed inside mainland China.

The Mandarin Channel was the earliest channel on air, which was launched in 1996. Now it has a 24-hour news channel, as well as other two channels targeting at the North America and European market at the present. It is now one of the most influential and important Chinese media worldwide, with several famous political commentary programmes that attract high viewership.
