Phenothiazines are antipsychotic drugs. There are three groups different by their chemical structure and their pharmacological effects:

Group	Sedative	Extrapyramidal	Autonomic
Aliphatic compounds	strong	moderate	moderate
Piperidines	moderate	weak	strong
Piperazines	weak	strong	weak
