Peter "Pete" Burton Hanson (???? - September 11, 2001) was a businessman. A resident of Groton,
Massachusetts, he grew up in Easton,
Connecticut and graduated from Joel Barlow High School in 1987. He attended Northeastern University and later earned his
Master of Business Administration at Boston University. Peter worked as the vice president of sales for Time Trade, a software firm in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Hanson died at 32 in the crash of United Airlines flight 175 in the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack. He was traveling with his wife, Sue Kim Hanson and daughter, Christine Lee Hanson. They were on the way to Disneyland and then a trip to visit Sue's relatives. Peter called his father from the plane reporting that hijackers were stabbing flight attendants in order to force the crew to open the cockpit doors.
Peter is survived by his parents, Eunice and Lee Hanson of Easton, and his sister Kathryn Barrere of Southbury, Connecticut.
