Perpetua

Perpetua is said to be an early Christian martyr aged about 16. The documentary basis of this is a Latin text, The Passion of Saints Perpetua and Felicity, part of which is presented as if it were written in her own hand. The text describes her torture and death. The very nature of this leads many to speculate that Perpetua and her companions were Montanist Christians. Montanism was later declared a Christian heresy.
