Penny Serenade

Penny Serenade is a 1941 melodramatic film which tells the story of a couple who adopt a child, but must struggle to make ends meet when the man loses his job. It stars Irene Dunne, Cary Grant, Beulah Bondi[?] and Edgar Buchanan[?].

The movie was writte by Martha Cheavens[?] and Morrie Ryskind[?]. It was directed by George Stevens.

It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor (Cary Grant).
