Pedro Del Valle

Major General Pedro Del Valle was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, August 28, 1893.

Major Del Valle was a brave soldier who helped the Marine Corps in the capture of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

He then participated in World War 2 as a commander regiment officer in Guadalcanal, where he helped in the seizure of the area.

Mr Del Valle was awarded the Legion of Merit, and for his participation in the Guam operation,he earned a Gold Star[?] as well.He won numerous awards and rankings during his career with the Marines, and retired in 1948 after an accomplished and distingushed career serving the United States on various locations overseas.
