Paxson is a town located in Valdez-Cordova Census Area, Alaska. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 43.

Geography Paxson is located at 63°2'43" North, 145°36'51" West (63.045307, -145.614117)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 824.3 km² (318.3 mi²). 787.4 km² (304.0 mi²) of it is land and 37.0 km² (14.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.48% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 43 people, 21 households, and 11 families residing in the town. The population density is 0.1/km² (0.1/mi²). There are 117 housing units at an average density of 0.1/km² (0.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 21 households out of which 28.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.6% are married couples living together, 4.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 42.9% are non-families. 38.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.05 and the average family size is 2.75.
