Passamaquoddy Indian Township Reservation is an Indian reservation located in Washington County, Maine. As of the 2000 census, the Indian reservation had a total population of 676.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the Indian reservation has a total area of 112.5 km² (43.4 mi²). 97.0 km² (37.5 mi²) of it is land and 15.5 km² (6.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 13.77% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 676 people, 232 households, and 164 families residing in the Indian reservation. The population density is 7.0/km² (18.1/mi²). There are 261 housing units at an average density of 2.7/km² (7.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the Indian reservation is 11.54% White, 0.00% African American, 83.43% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 5.03% from two or more races. 0.74% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 232 households out of which 48.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 35.8% are married couples living together, 23.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.9% are non-families. 25.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.91 and the average family size is 3.40.

In the Indian reservation the population is spread out with 40.5% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 14.3% from 45 to 64, and 5.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 25 years. For every 100 females there are 107.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.1 males.

The median income for a household in the Indian reservation is $23,125, and the median income for a family is $28,654. Males have a median income of $21,696 versus $24,271 for females. The per capita income for the Indian reservation is $10,808. 24.6% of the population and 23.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 22.5% are under the age of 18 and 27.8% are 65 or older.
