Parabolic antenna

The parabolic antenna is an high gain antenna, that may be used for the UHF frequencies. It is used mainly on these frequency for dimension reasons. In fact the diameter of the antenna is proportional to the received radio-wave lenght.

The parabolic antenna is used for receiving signal, or for trasmitting signal, or for receiving and trasmitting.

The parabolic antenna is wide used into the home TV satellite, into the telephone radio links, and in all the radio and TV communication links spread around any country.

The parabolic antenna is composed by a reflector (the parabolic element) and by one active equipment. The active equipment is an electronic device that convert the radio waves into electric waves. Then the electric waves are sent to a radio or TV equipment that handle it and transform the received signal into a suitable sound or video image.
