Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 546 people, 209 households, and 150 families residing in the village. The population density is 620.0/km² (1,597.8/mi²). There are 225 housing units at an average density of 255.5/km² (658.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.72% White, 0.18% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.18% from other races, and 0.92% from two or more races. 1.83% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 209 households out of which 45.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.4% are married couples living together, 10.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.8% are non-families. 24.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
