Outsider music

Outsider music is a form of Outsider Art. Outsider musicians frequently have no formal training and/or significant compromising behavioral or psychological conditions. The end result is music that is very much unlike other, more dominant musical styles. Important musicians in this style include Harry Partch, Jandek, the Shaggs, and Wild Man Fischer[?].
