The
Outer Hebrides are an island chain off the west coast of
Scotland. They are administered by the unitary council region of
Western Isles (link page for all islands in the Outer Hebrides). The islands are separated from the mainland by the stormy stretch of water known as the
Minch[?].
To the west lie a remote group of islands: Saint Kilda, Rockall, and the Flannan Isles[?].
