Out of the Cellar is the breakthrough album by
hair metal band
Ratt, released in
1984 (see
1984 in music). Featuring their best-known hit, "Round and Round",
Out of the Cellar was a spectacular popular success, through critical praise was limited. The band's
pop sensibilities were apparent, but many felt that there was little more to Ratt's sound then catchy choruses.
