OSGi

Open Service Gateway Initiative is a standardization organ formed by Sun Microsystems, IBM, Ericsson and others. The standard they specify concerns Service Gateways[?] and the software they run including updates and management.

One of the foundations of OSGi is the Java programming language.

Companies with implementaions of the OSGi software includes Sun Microsystems, IBM, Gatespace and Prosyst.
