The
Oregon Country Fair arises every year from a wetlands outside
Eugene Oregon, for one long weekend bash with 50,000 people. The Country Fair, which started as a barter and craft faire in the late
1960s, offers an earthy mix of village atmosphere that harkens back to a prehistoric urbanity. It's a family event, but pretty wild by prurient standards, and
very hippy.
