Orchomenus (town)

Orchomenus is an ancient city of Boeotia in Greece, which was the setting for many early Greek Myths. First mentioned in the Catalogue of Ships[?] section of The Iliad, it was the principal city of Boeotia and first to mint coins until the rise of Thebes. It was destroyed by the Boeotian Confederacy[?] in 364 BC, and has remained little more than a village since.
